OMAHA, Neb. — A bill that would require doctors to let women know an abortion pill can be reversed was introduced in the Nebraska Legislature.
Rebekah Hagan, 24, said in 2013 she changed her mind after taking the abortion pill and she was told there was nothing that could be done.
Hagan eventually found out about a reversal method and now she has a healthy 5-year-old son, Zacharia.
“He is everything he wasn’t supposed to be and every day I wake up so grateful for my second chance at choice and that’s exactly what this bill provides for women,” Hagan said.
The bill’s sponsor, Sen. Joni Albrecht, called the bill pro-life, pro-women and pro-transparency.
So far, 24 senators have signed the proposal.
